So, after a couple of decades of working for other people, I've decided to go my own way. You might ask, "What took you so long?" and the fact is I'm a bit more stubborn than I let on. The best part is, after seeing how both large and small firms operate--the good, the bad, and sometimes the very ugly--I've learned a few things about providing great customer service, being a better lawyer and, most importantly, a better man. Well, my wife and kids mostly taught me that last one.

In striking out on my own, I hope always to act and conduct my business honorably, with integrity and in the knowledge of what I have learned from my past experiences. I will continue to share my knowledge and skills with my clients to help them make the best decisions. And--the practice of law being much more art than science--even if we don't always get it perfect, I'll rest assured knowing I've done my best.

In this blog, I plan occasionally to write my thoughts on issues involving the law, the Constitution, current events, media, faith and other things that interest me. There may also be the occasional video commentary or analysis of pending bills or election candidates. You may agree or disagree--and you're always free to comment with civility either way--but I hope you enjoy and respect the free exercise of the First Amendment.
