Good question! I am not attempting to be deliberately provocative by choosing an un-PC name. Rather, there is a reason this name is important to me and my community.

My family and I moved to Caldwell, Idaho about 4 years ago. We've lived in Idaho for more than 10 years and never considered moving to Caldwell because this little city seemed to be long past its prime. Eagle, Meridian and Boise are the Treasure Valley cities that get all the love. Caldwell and Nampa (and Canyon County in general) always seem to get picked on. And yet, when it came time for us to move in 2013, we felt drawn to Caldwell's Steunenberg Historic District near the College of Idaho, Idaho's oldest and most prestigious college. We ended up purchasing a home very close to the college and have felt very blessed to live where we do.

So, what about Indian Creek? Well, Caldwell has been making a comeback in the last several years. One big project that has helped to launch Caldwell forward to the future is the uncovering and cleanup of Indian Creek, a tributary of the Boise River, which runs through the center of downtown. Caldwell received an EPA grant to clean and partially relocate Indian Creek in the mid 2000s. The result is a beautiful nature area surrounded by a mix of historic and modern buildings--and future developments. The creek has also spawned plans for Indian Creek Plaza and other features that will help renovate and rejuvenate Caldwell.

I chose Indian Creek Legal Services as my firm's name because the restoration of the creek was the seminal project leading to a revitalized city. To me, Indian Creek represents new hope, the start of something better, a project that helps answer a series of other problems, real and potential. I hope that the legal advice and services I provide will mirror what Indian Creek has provided Caldwell.

Let me know if you have a problem that needs solving and how I might be able to help.
